Modelling

Data from each pilot study area will be used to implement and validate the models used for each component of the water continuum.

They will be integrated using coupling methods and a dynamic interface. Novel modelling capacities will be developed during the project duration.

Expected outputs:

Meteorological models implemented in the pilot areas

"Via the following link you can access to a a compressed package (zip file) includes the configuration & setup files needed to properly run atmospheric models in 3 of the 4 case studies (Portugal, France and UK) used in HazRunOff project. A brief information on the main features of the WRF model are included in the PDF file attached."

Urban flood models implemented in the pilot areas

"Via the following link you can access to a compressed package (zip file) that contains the MOHID Studio workspace (OWS) for the integrated urban flood modelling covering the pilot area of Sacavém. It includes all the model project and configurations needed. The model application uses the numerical engines SWMM for the 1D (underground pluvial drainage network and open channels like small rivers) and MOHID Land for the 2D surface runoff model - the floodplain and Trancão river."
